These include pill boxes and pen boxes. The pill box was inspired by the need of a relative to take medicine at a mealtime - and to remember to take it. Especially when she was eating out, she really didn't want to put a plastic blister-pack on the table. And rather than hiding the need to take medicine, what could be better than making it explicit and celebrating it. A beautiful pill box in the shape of the medicine inside it that didn't look out of place amongst the other hollowware and flatware on the table. Nobody need ask what it is for as form follows function. And yet it is entirely in keeping with fine dining.
Versions have also been made with one end gilded.
